Sometimes on a weeknight after a long day, a skillet dinner is the perfect way to relax and enjoy. Recently, cooking has become therapeutic for me. When we first started our blog, cooking was a bit stressful. I wanted everything to look and taste a certain way but did not have enough cooking experience to make it come out perfectly. Every step felt like there was some pressure. With every bite, I would look anxiously at Dan to make sure he thought it was appetizing. Now as we cook almost every night, cooking is far from taxing. I use this time in the kitchen to unwind and slowly enjoy my evening. With the stress eliminated from cooking, making dinner has quickly become my favorite part of the day. This sage and butternut pasta was one of those dinners that was incredibly enjoyable to make. From rolling the meatballs to browning the sage, each step was a delight. More importantly, each bite was one of the most delicious pastas I have ever devoured.
This sage and butternut pasta skillet was so simple to make. Each time we prepared an ingredient for this pasta skillet, it filled our home with the best smells of fall. The sizzling sausage, the crisp sage and the baked butternut squash created for the most delicious aromas. Best of all, the combination made for the most mouthwatering and tasty flavors. It was so difficult for me to eat each perfect bite slowly. Every ingredient combined beautifully to make our new, favorite cold weather pasta dish.
This pasta dish could quickly become a staple in our home. During cold nights, this meal was the perfect comfort food. It encompassed some of our favorite fall ingredients. We may even bring it as a side dish this year for Thanksgiving! This meal will bring joy to anyone preparing it whether they are experienced in the kitchen or are just beginning to cook. It has been one of my favorite dishes so far to prepare. Even better was the experience of eating every last bite! We hope you enjoy it on a cold fall night and find it just as delicious as we found it to be.
