Here is our second, delicious recipe using our fresh, creamy lemon sauce. We have completely loved using one sauce for multiple meals. Not only is it a cost-effective strategy for making dinners, but it is also a quick way to get tasty meals on the table in no time! Not to mention, it allows an incredible sauce to be repeated in a new and exciting way. When we had the creamy lemon sauce on top of fresh salmon, we knew that we had to have it again and again. Enjoying it as an essential ingredient on a pizza, gave it a new, refreshing spin. This shrimp pizza with lemon sauce was so simple to make, and every bite was a fun treat!

If you follow our blog, you know that we are pretty obsessed with pizza. If we could have it for every meal, we certainly would! Recently, we have been venturing into using naan for pizza crust. This smart strategy takes out one whole process for making pizza. Without needing to make and cook the pizza dough, using naan as crust literally cuts the pizza making time in half. Using whole wheat naan also gives pizza a healthy twist. On top of that, adding an already made lemon sauce to the naan, made this pizza completely fast and completely simple!

We hardly ever cook with shrimp, but when we do, we remember how easy and tasty it can be. We wanted to put shrimp on pizza because we had never tried that combination before. Additionally, we knew that our lemon sauce would perfectly compliment roasted shrimp. We also added the avocado to give the pizza a creamy note. When we added all of the great ingredients together, it was an amazing combination that we wanted again and again.

This shrimp pizza with lemon sauce would be the very best meal to eat on a warm spring day. I can imagine it being paired with a glass of white wine and enjoyed on a patio outside. Shrimp Pizza with Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

    For the Pizza
  • 1 1/2 cups Shrimp, peeled and cooked
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 pieces Whole Wheat Naan Bread
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • For the Garnish
  • 1 Avocado, cubed
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped
  • For the Lemon Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • Juice from 1 Lemon, squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic, minced
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped

Instructions

    For the Shrimp
  1. Preheat the over to 350 degrees. In a pan, cook shrimp with butter and pepper flakes. Turn frequently until warmed and cooked. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. For the Sauce
  3. In a large sauce pan on medium heat, add the butter, heavy cream, lemon juice and garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix on stovetop for 2 minutes.
  4. Whisk in flour for 2 minutes until smooth. Stir in parsley and remove from heat.
  5. For the Pizza
  6. Pour sauce evenly over naan bread. Top sauce with mozzarella cheese and shrimp. Place in oven and cook for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  7. Garnish with avocado, parmesan and parsley.
