Just in time for today’s game, here is our second recipe for our food battle. As we shared in our bagel Margherita pizza post, we are pairing two teams together each week and cooking foods that represent each team. This week, for the New York Giants, we made a tasty bagel pizza that would be so fun to eat with friends in front of the game. To represent the battling team, we chose the Philadelphia Eagles. The obvious food choice for the Eagles would be to make a delicious Philly cheesesteak. In order to add a fun twist to this incredible dish, we created Philly cheesesteak bites. These bites were packed with flavor and were bursting with the perfect combination of beef, peppers and cheesy goodness.

After we devoured these appetizers, we were amazed by how the incredible flavors of a Philly cheesesteak could be packed into a small, flavorful bites. These bites could be quickly enjoyed at a gathering and would be a great way to cheer on the Eagles. If you are an Eagles fan, these would be the perfect addition to your game day spread. If you are not an Eagles fan, these Philly cheesesteak bites would still be an absolutely delicious and savory treat that everyone will love eating.

Philly Cheesesteak Bites

Every week when we highlight two teams and create a dish, we then choose a winner. During week one and week two of the season, our winning dishes were also the winning teams! We hope that this week, we can have three weeks in a row of predicting the winner through our recipes! When we put the two dishes head to head, we had a winner based on ease, taste and creativity. While we loved the bagel pizza, the effortlessness of popping tasty cheesesteak bites while watching a game made it the winner! With so much flavor packed into one bite, these tiny cheesesteaks are so incredibly delicious and fun. We can see these bites being such a crowd pleaser that can easily be prepared in minutes. Make these bites to root on the Eagles or to share in front of any football game. You will love all the flavor packed into one, tasty bite!
