This simple and fantastic ground orange chicken rice bowl makes a quick and fun weeknight dinner. Each fresh & healthy bite is so addicting! It is so easy that it will become a fast go-to dinner staple.

We absolutely love recipes that can be made in few pans and are so easy to make. Those recipes that turn out so delicious and create almost no mess, become our favorite weeknight meals to make in a pinch. This ground orange chicken rice bowl was instantly one of those go-to recipes that we knew we would have to make again soon. Because of the incredible flavors and the effortlessness that it required, this rice bowl quickly intrigued us.

Ground Orange Chicken Rice Bowl

Ground Orange Chicken Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Orange Juice
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Brown Rice
  • 1 cup Stir Fry Vegetables, frozen or fresh packaged
  • Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions, chopped
  • Sesame Seeds for garnish
  • Red Pepper Flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pan, combine the water, sriracha, orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and sugar. Mix until thoroughly blended. Bring mixture to a boil. Whisk in 3 tablespoons of corn starch until fully mixed. Pour the sauce into a pan on low heat and stir.
  2. Coat diced chicken with remaining corn starch (5 tablespoons). Add chicken to the pan with the sauce. Cover the chicken with the sauce and cook until chicken is fully cooked through.
  3. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  4. Heat the vegetables on a skillet with olive oil. When soft, add to the rice bowl with the chicken. Top with green onions, sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. Enjoy!
