We have officially survived the busiest weekend! This weekend was one that we were both dreading and looking forward to for months. Yesterday, Dan was in charge of a giant event for his work – and I mean giant! The event had 8,000 people and he was in charge of organizing and planning all of it! I was so incredibly proud of him and was in awe of what he pulled off! It was so fun to see him do his thing and to see him completely excel at it. I was definitely a very proud wife with an amazingly hardworking husband. While we were very excited for the event, we were also a bundle of nerves, hoping that it would go off without a hitch. On top of that, today is my 30th birthday! That exhausting work event, paired with my celebration, made this weekend one for the books! Now that it is almost complete, we can finally kick up our feet and take in all the awesome things that have occurred the last two days. We can also finally bring you this delicious football post. These Coney dogs were one hundred percent mouth watering and have been calling my name every time I look at these pictures again!

Detroit Coney Island Dog

When we researched what to make for the Detroit Lions, every single thing on the internet was begging us to make these Coney dogs. I mean, just look at them! How could you say no to these irresistible hot dogs? When I saw that Detroit is famous for this incredible game day food, I was admittedly pretty confused. I always thought that Coney dogs were from New York. However, Google told me otherwise and got me excited for understanding how and why these delicious hot dogs were from this area. I also found out that Detroit style Coney dogs are basically a beef hot dog with a beef chili sauce, chopped onion, and yellow mustard. Reading that completely makes my mouth water.
