This weekend, we celebrated a dear friend’s wedding. It was such a perfect night that was full of an abundant amount of love. The bride radiated happiness and her new husband was in awe of his new wife. It was so wonderful to be a part of! The next day, I celebrated another amazing friend’s new baby. It was incredible to reminisce with friends and rejoice in the arrival of her little one. This beautiful celebration, along with the incredible wedding, filled me with an amazing realization of the beauty of life. These two celebrations were full of endless blessings and were bursting with love.




Angel Food Funfetti Cake

Along with these exciting gatherings, Dan and I are celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary today. On this day last year, we experienced the most surreal evening. It was such an amazing feeling to look around and feel so much love from everyone there to celebrate our new marriage. Whenever we look back and reminisce on that amazing day, we feel incredibly blessed. Dan and I have grown so much this year, and reflecting upon our wedding day, makes us so excited for our future together. This year makes us thrilled for the anniversaries to come, and so grateful for the celebration that we had last year. It was the perfect day and a wonderful reminder of how beautiful life is.




Angel Food Funfetti Cake

In order to commemorate these amazing celebrations, we made a delicious angel food funfetti cake. This light and fluffy dessert is a twist on my favorite, sweet guilty pleasure. I absolutely love funfetti cake. In order to make it more ‘grown-up,’ putting it in angel food form, helped to give it an easy update. Not only is this cake incredibly easy to make, but it is also very fun and pretty. This angel food cake is perfect for a celebration! We happily enjoyed it while celebrating the joys of life and love. Enjoy!




Angel Food Funfetti Cake

Angel Food Funfetti Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Angel Food Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Rainbow Sprinkles
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • For the Frosting
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, add cake mix and water and stir by hand until smooth. Be sure to not to over mix the batter. Add the sprinkles and vanilla and lightly mix in. Pour the mixture into a non-greased angel food cake pan. Bake for 40 minutes.
  2. While the cake is baking, mix the powdered sugar and whipping cream together in a medium-sized mixing bowl. When cake is finished cooking and is cool, drizzle the frosting over the cake and top it with more sprinkles. Enjoy!
